Your Family Can Live The Dream

Would you like to move yourself and your family for a  year to your dream location?  It is absolutely possible.

Are you tired of what feels like a relentless day in-day out treadmill?  The same places, and people, even if you love them dearly?  Are you always busy, but dreaming of slowing it down, perhaps somewhere with warmer, sunnier weather, and long to take the time to go on the adventure of a lifetime with your family, while you and the children are still young?

Do you have some options to become a Portable Family, such as you work from home, can do your work from a computer, can have a sabbatical year, or work 4 years and take the 5th off?  You don’t have to be financially free to have a dream year before you are gray and your children are gone.

I hope to inspire you and show you how completely possible your dream is.

My family and I are living in the SW corner of France, in a renovated 200 year old farmhouse  in the peachfields and vineyards.  We have  a large pool and a balcony with a view of Canigou, the local mountain.  We are 15 minutes from Mediterranean and the mountains bordering Spain.  Our 3 elementary school children are in the local school picking up French like little language ninja’s.  We choose this area of  this country for the sunshine, warmth, culture, and language, and have found the experience spectacular beyond our expectations.  It’s all for the same living costs we were living on in Canada in our snowy maritime home.

Our starting point.  TOO MUCH SNOW.

It is our second year doing this: we returned to Canada for a second year last year, thanks to a real estate portfolio my husband created, which you can see at thesmalltownguy.com. After helping him, my job became to find a way to maximize our lifestyle – and it feels easily doubled – on the very normal income we have.  I will show you what steps to take to move yourself and your family for an incredible dream year abroad.

So come on!  We love being a Portable Family and hope you become one too.
