New Year, New Options

Being a Portable Family brings its own challenges. Would it be better to add a year in Thailand, or Laos, while trying a brief stint of homeschooling? Should we return to Canada for a while to reconnect with our roots? Or just stay put in France? 5 people, 5 opinions. The three kids vary… the youngest would go anywhere, the middle kid would too, with reservations, and the oldest wants to stay put …but she’s still tempted. This tells us time is running out! We want them to be settled in back home in Canada for high school.

Now throw in two week school holidays every six weeks, and there are more options to wade through and prepare for… do we take a cheap flight to Morocco again (€29 / one way)? Go skiing nearby? Visit Portugal, or the Spanish Islands, or Italy…? Again, 5 people, 5 opinions.

or this…?
Do this…?
or this…?
…or…?!

Obviously, these are great choices to have. We spent 15 years positioning ourselves to have these choices on our same income we would have at home. See how at http://smalltownguy.com

But if you start making the changes necessary to give yourself a year of choices, what would YOU choose?
